The most easterly CIU club in the U.K !
The Lowestoft Ex-Servicemens Club was established 60 years ago for personel who had served in the second world war. The name can be sometimes be misleading as we are a typical working mens club and it is not a requirement to have served your country. Many people join the club for its easy going atmosphere and generally cheaper club prices.
Darts, Pool and Bingo are a prominent part of the entertainment available and having the club run by a committee gives the place a firm but safe environment. The club is also the home of the Lowestoft Ex-Servicemens Club Chess Group.
The general aims of the club are for members to take advantage of the facilities, but being a non profit making organisation, it is sometimes difficult to spend thousands of pounds keeping the buildings up to scratch.
